About Garden and Food Education
OUR GARDEN AT THE HUB
In 2025, Mill Village Farms made the move to our new space! We are now located at Mill Village Ministries’ Hub at 1186 Pendleton St. We have many garden beds filled with seasonal produce and blooms.
As we continue to bloom and grow in our new space, we hope to provide a valuable resource to our local community, as well as opportunities for youth education and community engagement!
WHERE OUR ROOTS BEGAN…SULLIVAN STREET GARDEN
Our first garden was located in the Greater Sullivan Community of Greenville, South Carolina. We got our start at 28 Bolt Street among Long Branch Baptist Church's Unity Park! This farm was built in October 2012 with the help of over 50 volunteers from our neighborhood association, Long Branch Baptist Church, and Grace Church.
The Sullivan Street farm included 30 garden beds, a 60 foot greenhouse, commercial kitchen, and our produce-processing crop stop!
COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND WORKSHOPS
We are working on educational classes and workshops to engage our community and introduce them to the health benefits of fresh produce and a healthier lifestyle. Keep an eye out for upcoming workshop dates!
